REVERIE in Gallery and Garden, Group Sculpture Exhibition
12th June - 31st July 2010

"the house shelters day-dreaming, the house protects the dreamer, the house allows one to dream in peace." Gaston Bachelard.

Including pieces by Michael Duhan, Edward Delaney, Bob Quinn, Leo Higgins, Orla de Bri, Petr Holecek and others.

Inspired by “The Poetics of Space”, in which Gaston Bachelard discusses the many manifestations of "home" as both a tangible place and a place of dreams, and emphasises our living space’s importance as a sanctuary and a refuge, "Reverie" acknowledges art as integral to the creation of these spaces and celebrates the gallery as another manifestation of “this shelter from outside forces”, a place of escape within the city.
